No Hop Porn in 2015. Sad to say, but neither of my Centennial crowns survived the brutal winter this year. Taking a break this year from patio hop farming; will mostly be back next year with a few new rhizomes planted along the South facing retention wall.

| Year two leaves are much bigger than last year’s. |
| Where last year there was only a pair of cones budding underneath each
leaf, this year there are clusters!
| Well over 12 feet at this point, the main bine is halfway up the twine
toward the roofline

| Main bine has exceeded the top of the 8′ pole! |
June 1, 2014
| Buds are beginning to form. Soon enough this little guy
will be a juicy, resiny hop cone.

| Looks like only two survived. I’ll need to get something for them to climb.
They’ll spend year two as potted plants, but by year three I’ll need
to get them in the ground.

| May 1, 2014. Life persists! Found this little bine shooting
out of the soil in this forgotten pot! How exciting is this?
So far only one. There are four small crowns in this pot.
Hopefully they all survived the winter…

| July 24, 2013. I think these are ready. They pass the “squeeze/ krinkle” test.
I might pick them on my next brew day and do a wet hop pale ale. Hopefully I’ll
have at least an ounce, but I have no idea until I harvest.

June 23, 2013
| June 23, 2013. Today is an exciting day! Noticed roughly
twenty tiny hop cones budding!

| June 9, 2013. The structure is now 8′ tall.
So will be the tallest bine very shortly.
May 26, 2013
| May 26, 2013. The tallest bine now reaches over 18″, and the
other two main bines are almost as high.
| May 26, 2013. Today I added a few lines
of twine to accommodate some of the
others that are ready to climb.

May 17, 2013
| May 17, 2013. I now have eight bines in my little clay pot.
The three main bines measure over 3″ in height; one more inch
and I can begin training them around the stakes.
Should really begin to take off now!

| May 9, 2013. After five days nestled in the dirt, three little
sprouts peek timidly through the surface in search of sunlight.

of the shot–nothing to see but dirt right now.
